National Institute of Plant Health Management (NIPHM), Hyderabad is a National level institute under the administrative control of the Department of Agriculture & Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmer’s welfare, Government of India established in the year 1966 as Central Plant Protection Institute (CPPTI) at Hyderabad. The Institute was rechristened subsequently as National Plant Protection Training Institute (NPPTI).It became an autonomous body in the year 2008 with the expanded scope of promoting environmentally sustainable Plant Health Management practices in diverse and changing agro-climatic conditions and Plant Biosecurity Management and Pesticide Management through capacity building programmes, besides providing inputs for policy formulation on Plant Health Management, Plant Biosecurity, Invasive Alien Species, market access, Pesticide Management etc. at state and national level
NIPHM Drone Academy is DGCA approved RPTA, which is part of National Institute of Plant Health Management (NIPHM), Hyderabad.
NIPHM Drone Academy is established as per the guidelines of SOP issued by the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India.
Indian Agriculture Drone market is projected to reach Rs.9,000 crore by 2025 and Rs.26,000 crore by 2030 (FICCI-EY 2022). India needs more than 3 lakh Drone pilots in the agricultural space by 2025 to serve the growing market needs. NIPHM, one of India’s Premier Agricultural Research and Training organisations, is a technologically adaptive and established Drone Training academy as per DGCA specifications. NIPHM collaborated with Marut Dronetech Private Limited to launch various DGCA-approved courses with a special focus on agriculture and plant health management.
As a DGCA-approved Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) we are authorised to issue your Drone/Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) upon completion of your training with us, which will allow you to fly your drone
The trained pilots would not just revolutionise Indian Agriculture but would also create skilled rural employment and entrepreneurship boosting the Indian Economy.
